Now given your preffered armor - its down right sporty.

Sounds like fun to me. I would suggest a specific battle or historical tournament, not just an 'all mail battle' that way there is some culture and history for people to chew on as they prepare.

Remember the tourney starts an hour earlier this year. 11am.

Also be advised we are competing against Disney Princesses on Ice for parking, their first show is 10:30 am so expect the parking garage to be full by 9:30.

The battle of Haversfjord. Find something to make ships out of, define a ship as 25' long and 8' wide at its widest. Ships are rafted together to make a killing field. Access to the enemy ships is across the bows, so engagements are at and angle. The sides of ships act as a low barrier, so either no...

How about sheets of wedge riveted and tailoring kits, or the component system the GDFB tried and seems to have fizzled on.

Or stainless steel flat wire and wedge riveted.

Somewhere I think I have seen a faceted (think fluted) barbute like helmet, 15th century time frame. It had very eastern european influences. Maybe Master Magnus will chime in on this one. Or some of the czec armourers.

WISBY Gauntlets: what would you pay

I have evidently priced these too high for general interest, so what would you pay for these? I am not committing to selling these at a reduced price, although I may if it seems reasonable. I am curious as to what folks think a fair price might be. Size: Extra Large to Large (Built on an extra large...

Also what time and where.

My kit could possibly be thought of as 'Norman' but would be veeery late, being from around 1250. It is a bit generic but is locatable to northern Europe.

I suspect you are interested in the armors worn by the vavasours during the period of the Conquest of England?

This is a target bow.
I suppose if you wanted to you could switch out the prod for a lighter stave and use it for combat archery. As is, no this would likely drive the fiberglass shaft through the safety head of the bolt.
