The Osprey book "The Armies of Crecy and Poitiers" has a lot of illustrations where you can see the spauldors clearly. he illustrations in that book are not so good. Lots of "artistic license" and not really helpful when trying to figure out what this stuff looked like. I'd sugg...

I have a question:

Of the surviving plates, are they solid, or are they somewhat hollow? Seems if solid, they would be HEAVY.

I'd love to get some of yours Talbot, but I think it would cost me a tone to buy enough o.0. Lots of brass in those I guess.
