There's a whole chapter on this sort of stuff in Allan Williams' "the knight and the blast furnace" ISBN 1385-7827, more info . Beware that "force" is not the right thing to ask for. What defeats armour is energy, not force. Energy is related to the mass of the projectile, and the speed of the proj...

Of the gaunts you posted, the ones sold by Therion (made by Vista) are the most accurate, though they lack the knuckle-rider plate. As for swords.... You can't go wroing with eith A&A or Albion. I think Albion's swords are slightly more accurate, but then again, they tend to be pricier. Both of the ...

Isn't Armour Class's mail round wire rivetted? I'm not sure that that is WRONG per se, just that most people are referring to the flat ring wedge rivetted stuff known to more correct for late medieval western europe.

Yes, all those thingsa appear about 1320ish. Here's a good pic of a guy about that time. The coat of plates would still be hidden under a loose surcoat at this time. By the 1330's the "classic" 14th century look begins to emerge (bascinet, shorter mail, transition from the surcoat to the jupon, move...

The kit you descibe is from about the 1320's, maybe early 1330's, though you could have mail chausses much earlier (12th century, or even a bit earlier).
