Sir William it was a pleasure to meet you and face you in the lists. I look forward to it again. The Duke you're referring to was Duke Sir Bardolph. Candlemas was indeed a great time. I almost didn't go because of the weather I had to drive through coming from northern Indiana, but I'm very glad I ...

Candlemas down and I am home safe. The Midrealm is just amazing with their hospitality; His Excellency Lutr had an open house of sorts after the event and plenty of tasty food and great company. I have 2/3’s of the quest I made for myself completed with the final leg being Ymir. I have learned a l...

But if you want to compete in a dead-heavy tournament where everyone thinks every round is the finals in a Crown- it's the place to be. Hmmmm yup I think that pretty much sums up what I am looking for I have worked on a few new things over the winter an I am hoping to try them out. I really didn't ...

Well Birka was great!! The fighting was not at all what I expected and my strategy was flawed on a few levels. It was a true learning experience and I can’t wait to try it again. I can also attest that Holiday Faire and Birka are not remotely alike. Birka is COMPLETELY about your strategy and how ...

Just checked still a couple of rooms but it is 4 of us, and I am not sure what the guys want to do. Thank you though for the sugg...

1. Equal sides are more fun… but no handshakes please 2. Battles in the AM. Tourneys in the afternoon 3. Less limited fronts and more flag type battles, grab and run 4. No more Res battles that only count in the last 5 minutes. I am not a big fan of Res battles to be brutally honest, but standing ...

I believe Thorbrandr/Eorann (9-10-94) where the first new monarchs to not be followed by another first timers… and Logan/Arielle (10-5-96) were the second and unless I overlooked something I think Havordh/Mary Grace (4-7-01) were the last to date. Dear Brother Amos, I have pondered this very insightful proposal. And this is what I have come up with- If we go back to a few years and look at trends here in this Kingdom it seems that new Monarchs come in pairs September 11, 1999- Amalric/Caia April 1, 2000- Ragnarr/Kyneburh September 4, 2004- Ja...

Well if this IS actually the case, then I heard that Sir Afshin makes a really good peanut butter and jelly sandwich; but what are the chances of Their Majesties picking peanut better for the secret ingredient. I used to go to 2-3 practices a week and then go to 2-4 events a month. I now go to 1-2 practices a week and 2-3 events a month. One thing I have observed is the different levels of intensity people bring to practice. I know folks that come to practice and hang out and chat, slowly get into armor an...

My First Attempt Making a Great Sword and matching Secondary. The Pommel and Hilts on these two are one piece attached via welded flat steel bars along both sides and the rattan gets cut down then wedged into the slot. Really makes for a solid feel and look imo. The Secondary hits like a thug stick...
