Ok, just saw that it looked very similar. The eye slots are WAY narrow for SCA also. Might help if you can weigh it, or use some calipers to verify the gauge.

The Varangian shield is often depicted as a red shield with a black bird/raven on it. Can anyone point me to some historic precedent for this ? Let me just add for Rhyance that he has installed the suspension liner. I had one of these in a helmet I bough from him and it was great. Most breatheable helm I have ever had, and the height was perfect.
If he were close to me, I would pay him to add one in all my helms.
