I have been struck repeatedly (dozens of times) with a full weight rebated (1.5mm edge) bastard sword on a 6 mm mild steel rivited chain shirt over a revival gambeson by a 300 pound cheesehead mook as hard as he could. It stung. Obviuosly if the sword were sharp, the force concentration on the links...

My Katana. It can cut through a tank. No, really. I saw it on the internets.

Made by some Japanese dude approxamately 150 years ago.

MyJapanese rattan weapons always match this sword as closely as I can manage.

I like to hit people hard. Its just more fun. I like it when snot bubbles come out of my opponent's nose. I prefer to be hit that way too. If its crisp and clean I'll take it even if its not the force I throw. I won't let people take shots from me that aren't what I intended to hit them with. I don'...

Do tell At my first practices and fights in 1973 in Phily (Duke Cariodoc's pratice) I was being hit as hard or harder than I am now. I wasn't hitting that hard at first because I was a child. But when I got my size up I fit right in. I am hitting lighter today than I did then because if I don't I g...

not sure. But if it has a rim, shouldn't that rim be cylindreical so it alligns with the radii of the shield curve? Specifically non-coplanar ?

Am I over thinking this?

I think we should simply admit we are playing with batons and call them that- and get rid of "deaths" while we are at it. I really don't believe that 1 shot kills with a sword exist through chain over leather- certainly not to the extent that we would seem to think that they do. We can ma...

Suzerain is making me a bespoke sword. I don't think he'll mind if I post a picture. This design is appropriate to the second hlf of the 14th century. I do have an Icefalcon purchased arming sword but I do not really trust it. No slight to Ice, he didn't make it, he was just thinking of selling them...

I fight with gauntlets. I dont use a shield much but I have a close game with two sticks. I apply the majority of my grip with my ring fingers. This lets me move the sword more freely than a whole fist goose strangling type grip.

Banner bearer is an honour. You would have to literally kill my goon Yngvar to get that banner off him. he kills lots of guys with that flagpole. The pointy end is away from the banner.
