There is only one magic that can fix this, but you are not gonna like it. I don't. You have to think of the person who wronged you and sincerely wish them the best. Wish them the things you wish for yourself. You are godfearing, so it may be easier for you, because you can pray for them. It really r...

It is the responsibilty of fighters I face to make sure their gear will protect them from me so that I do not have to worry about injuring them. If they fail in that responsibility I have no sympathy for them. I agree with you in what you wrote above Nissan. I am just worried when I see some of the...

Duke Malcolm - Aethelmeark I always smile when I see Malcolm's name come up. He and I were at Virginia Tech at the same time (early 90s). I remember him as a really good guy and a fun fight, but just as goofy and nerdy as the rest of us. And, honestly, none of the people at that practice were parti...

I don't know who the top would be in fighting skill, but I know who I want to cross swords with the most and will list those instead. Duke Logan of Atlantia Duke Brannos of Midrealm (midrealm right?) Nissan Maxima of wherever the hell he feels like Duke Tarrach of Northshield Duke Uther of the West...

putting together a travel kit
I am thinking of putting together a travel kit. I need soup can knees, gamboised cuisses with plastic internal slats, a canvas CoP with plastic plates, Plastic vambraces and rerebraces and one piece elbows suitable to the middle of the 14th century and shoes with decent fighting tread. Who's got stu...

So it was the fashion for some years at Pennsic to hold a cattle raid on some neighbor and make off with some prize usually made for the purpose. We had an inflatable dragon raft that we used to carry cute girls around on. Some hapless fools made off with it, and we found out who they were. When the...

If I was gonna do this experiment I would get some of this:
http://www.tekscan.com/pressure-indicating-film.html
and have 30 blindfolded spear fighters jab a volunteer in a breastplate with this film mounted on it with a 3 " and a 2" tip 5 times each.
Then do some statistics.

Oh yes, they certainly have. Someone even tried building a sword with a hollow core and I believe lead shot, simulating a Roman sword with a mercury loaded tube. Such things were prohibited ages ago. And have always been one of my major problems with the whole fiberglass tube spear shaft.... easy a...
