dude man, thats what i was talking about. i wear one. but it doesnt ride like the one pictured. if there were a fold you would see it visibly if the artist was into detail, which he seems to have been. as it is, it rides down/ pulls down in teh front

hmmm i dunno about a shirt. funny how it perfectly follows the curve of the arming doublet/standard rim (which ever it may be) I also dont know of many 15th cent shirts with this type collar. most are non collared save for the real high ones

its just that. its called 3 in one . usually found in 4 fl oz. its a multipurpose oil. i use it to clean up my armour

jeffj did a great job on a basinette with boiled linseed oil and his grill. it came out all shiney black and has a red hue to it

how many different armouries are online with pictures? what I meanis like the Grimm armoury. it has tons of detailed pictures that are not in most books. are there any more out there? if so can you please post the urls?

hal, might i suggest for spaulders 16 guage all the way around for sca. i made flonzy 18 guage lames on a 16 guage bell and the lames got bent to hell during his fighting

ya the top is oval. it should also be larger ar the top than at the brow line. i just haddnet gotten to figure out the role yet. forgot to add the 1 inch strip ;)

where did you get the breathe hole pattern? how did you do it? drill two holes and use a metal jig saw blade?

umm i'm sorry but i have never seen a sallet with a pigface or houndskull. now most later period sallets are both longer in teh front and back but do not have a full visor. by 1513 most sallets are jaw lined and phasing out of fashion

. I use points through the hosen and then through the arming doublet and THEN through the mail skirt to hold the hosen and mail skirt up with one set of points. It simplifies things.

ok, i'm making a pot helmet. and i can't seem to get the top right. what am i doing wrong? should i: A. trace the outside rim of the helmet, cut it out, dish it and then try to bend the edges over. B. trace the outside rim of the helmet, add an inch all the way around, cut it out and bend the edges ...
