you mentioned wanting to be period, what period/area are you going for? what look do you want? that should be enough info to get you on the right track for a decent breastplate that will work for you

i hate dishing

what am i doing wrong. everytime i dish it seems to go wrong. i have 2 forms, 1 large and 1 small form kingslance. i use a #1 and #3 rawhide hammer. when i dish i try to go in circles form outside in etc, but its all clumpy and messed up. it tends to wrinkle and warp the hell out of whatever i'm mak...

how do you set the rivit and not get the material dirty or messed up? also, are you using special rivits (design on teh heads?) if so, how do you peen them so the rivit head doesnt mess up

m ok printed out 1 of the patterns. the 1 inch square comes out more like 7/8 x 7/8 squares. tried to put all 0's in the margin, but it kept putting a small margin in place. HELP? also tried to skew/strech but couldnt find all 4 numbers needed (2 for stretch and 2 for skew) that would make it come o...

Ow! Damn clue by fours. Well I feel a bit like Homer Simpson. Yeah but waht about the shoulders? Should you still point them through the mail? Shoulder plate pieces - Spaulders and pauldrons, often ought point very close to the base of the neck. Either point through maile there or don't. It depends...

Most of the clothes was made by ourselves, James either had a big hand in or made a great deal of it for the guys. yes and no ;) in the wallace collection, plate 1 there is a mail cap and shirt from the 15th cent. says its german. although i believe this is the first half of the 15th cent.

15th cent would normally have mail voiders and skirts under armour... full hauberks/byrnies what have you for 14th cent
