i have both books. i havent sat down and read either cover to cover yet. but that being said i have gone threw them and a lot of it is other books. i have heard form others that have read the books that say there are a lot of mistakes here and there and such. i wouldn't pay full price. the pictures ...

The shoulder clasps from Sutton Hoo are believed by some to have been attached to some kind of leather protection. So to say there's 'no' evidence is a little strong.
