but there are no writings about splints are there not? no inventories etc? in a world that seems fashion rules all and if you have it flaunt it, why use something thats over 100 years old for armour? full plate was in.

ive seen this one on ebay for around 35 bucks give or take. i think if i got one i'd take the nasal off and redo it. it looks funny on teh ones ive seen in person.

good start matt! some things i see shoulder cop should be a lil deeper. go a little lighter on teh fluting toward the edges. i dont know if you need another lame, but the lames seem to gap a little bit. maybe its jsut the way they are laying in the picture. anyways. good job. not rrrreeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllyyy tim. it took them way to long to get me a pilum when i ordered from them. i had to nearly threaten them to get it. then again i wasnt overly impressed when it got here either. for a few bucks more i could have gotten a mark marrow.

umm no its not. there are readings telling how thick a jack must be. james's is way under and mine is the minimum... its should have a stag skin with it according to period resources.

check this out. rivetted mail vs a spear. m m now with paddig behind it m m granted its nailed against a hard surface, but i dont think paul used much force. thanks for the pics paul and to the mail vs cloth. ummm cloth is used to stop bullets. its called kevlar. my jack was 24 layers of 7+ oz linen...

just a question though. would the period construction be more like caligue? where the sides fold under and then are all stitched thru the soles rather than edge stitched? dont know about 1200bc ;) just wondering
