some better pics of the pieces would be easier to pin point.

that being said, you have a 1450s italian armet, 1480s german breasplate, 1430s arms etc.

wear wool.
have no expossed linen.
cover stuff with wool
lots of hay (around the edges of your tent)
pre-treat seams of tent if you can with seam sealer.
sit under a tent fly with a fire.
keep things off the ground
just have fun and dont worry about stuff.

ya, i had heard this too like 15thc armour that is pointed on "floats" (like elbow, pauldrons etc) armour that is strapped or all riveted together doesnt.

what about the strap? its period. buckles the breastplate to the plackart. italian style. can also be seen in english effigies. there are also examples of the backplate or plates being straped this way instead of rivets

my arms are held together as one piece also. i have no arm restictions at all. and their easier to put on than to tie each piece ever time u put them on

cement glue the top of the rattan to the kong. then use either a large washer or a flat piece of metal cut under the cir of the round top part and put a nail or screw thru it into the rattan. then cover with tape
