There is a section about not using nails for weapon construction, that might be what you are thinking... Where is that? That's what I was looking for... Can you quote it for me? I guess my question is, what is the difference between an upholstry tack, and a very small nail? (for those using upholst...

15th cent. centergrip shields?
Anywhere in the range of early to mid 15th century... preferably Italian-ish...
What shapes and sizes were the centergrip shields of that era if there were any?
This will be an alternate to my sca heater shield.
Not interested in round shields/bucklers.

(SCA) Shields and nails
I swear I had read somewhere that you couldn't use nails or staples in shield construction... But, when I went back and looked at the SCA rules, and the Atlantian rules, for shield construction I couldn't find that anywhere... Is something that used to be, or may be something specific to some other ...

That's it...
It does not in any way benifit the archive though.
I used all the money I ever made off of selling stuff there to buy myself the black AA baseball cap. I highly reccommend the cap.

Oh come on... Waldric has cycled through this what? Like 5 times since the archive began? Does really good for a while, then dissappears... then does really good for a while, then dissappears... rinse, wash, repeat... When I met him at Gulf Wars, he had nothing but shitty things to say about the arc...

I'm amazed we don't have more heart attacks than we do. Maybe there is some insight there... maybe the fact that we don't have heart attacks can lead to new insight on heart disease. Perhaps all you have to do is eat alot of fatty foods and have two quick bursts of balls-to-the-wall excersize per w...

Greetings Sir Vitus von Atzinger, I do pledge to seek you out two days hence, at the time and place of which you speak. Through trial-by-combat, and through discussion on the life of arms, I will try to distinguish which of the virtues you represent on this Saturday. I look forward to it. Till then,...

For applying to aluminum blanks, I like to soak both sides of my canvas (seriously soak the crap out of it) with white elmers glue. Then I smother the blank with elmers glue, and use a plastic putty knife with a really wide blade to smooth it out. Then I lay the canvas on the blank, and smooth it ou...

I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that JT has stated before that there would be no armorer review board. I believe the reason had something to do with the archive not officially endorsing or slamming any armorer. As I said I may be wrong, but that is what I recall. Besides we already have a boar...
