I wasn't being sarcastic.

I get it.

Roleplaying is dressing up like somebody, using the same kind of equipment they use, adopting their beliefs, etc...

Just what you said you did.

Perhaps you don't understand what roleplaying is.

Sure, its kinda like saying... Truthfully, I don't see myself as a plumber. I just like hooking copper pipes together in the subfloor of houses to divert water from the water line into sinks and bathtubs and such. I turn the water on occasionally, but never take a bath. Truthfully I don't see myself...

Fighting makes the man?

I've seen the goofiest f&ckers join the sca, start swinging rattan, and totally transform their personality in a matter of months... they walk taller, gain self confidence, etc... What do you think it is about fighting that totally transforms some people? And... As a side note, have you ever see...

Then, I'd easily pay ya $200.

Just let me know when you're ready.

I'd get all the hardware for it on my own.

Can you make a 24x36 heater shield with 1/4 alum barstock welded on the outer inside edge?

And, if you could... say... with a 2" deep curve to the shield...

How much?

Edit: You know... forget how much... just PM me a bill, and I'll send you a money order.

Re-read what Vitus wrote. Sir Vitus, I need to ask you something about your recent post. I am not a KNight, merly a squire. What I need to ask is why would only knights feel bad about being shot. Again what about grappling, few SCA people know anything about it, even the modern style (which is not as different as you seem to think it is from medieval)

Now, come on James. Just because we don't do it while playing with the SCA doesn't mean we don't know anything about it.

Until you start using alot of close in holds, grabbing hilts and blades, and allowing grappling... rapier doesn't come near the intensity of Armoured Fighting.

I fight both, and enjoy both, but they are different beasts altogether.
