Illusion Update

I recieved a letter in the mail from Illusion Armoury yesterday.

They gave me new invoice, with a new completion date of March 27th, for the helmet they are making me.

I guess I worded that wrong. What I meant to say was that 100% didn't get through to your neck...

Whether or not only 80% or 98%, or whatever go through depends upon the shot, and the distance the aventail is hung from your neck.

I'll edit the post above to reflect what I was trying to say.

Actually, now the rule makes sense. The whole idea behind an aventail is the "drape effect". That being that it is hung away from the neck, and it slows down the shot, before it reaches the neck, thus negating EDIT: <s>100% of the power behind the shot.</s> some of the force of the shot from getting...

Malcome,

Since December 1st (in Atlantia). Aventails need to be padded, and your shield arm needs ridgid protection on the points (elbow cop).

I don't know if it would pass on its own. Maybe. But there is a spot (about an inch wide), in the very back, where the velcro strap is the only coverage. But that part of my neck is always under my helm. So... I'm not worried about it. I just wanted something on the front so that somebody could lift...

Hmmmm...

After my stick starts to broom out at the tip, I'll use some wood glue to hold it all together for one or two more practices.

I don't soak the stick, but it is using glue on the rattan.

This would be illegal then?

I usually leave my leg open... when somebody hits it, I drop to my knees... and then I proceed to do my damnedest, until my opponent hits me in the back.

I'm trying to figure out a "winning" strategy... but it hasn't materialized yet.
