On a scene dominated by touch combat it makes the SCA look violent. Right. Swordplay... is supposed to be violent. Violence is a good thing. You are trying to kill somebody. this sort of video does NOT help recruitment when people do a net search for the SCA. I dissagree. I believe this video helps...

You guys have never placed an order for a pair of legs, and the armourer messed up and sent you two of the same leg? Then you says "hey man! that's two of the same leg!" and they send you one of the other leg and say "go ahead and keep the extra."

that's never happened to you guys?

Yeah... if we did the Wiki idea here...

How long would the thing be up before somebody came along and deleted the whole section on combat archery and replaced it with the line:

"No Archery."

We can actually do that here.

We can set up a forum, with one thread, give everybody ability to edit everybody elses posts (on that one forum... basically set permissions up all silly)... put up a thread with the rules, and then...

Have at you!

Vitus could do it...

I have been saying that for years, up the poundage on bows, go to a siloflex arrow, toss out the unsafe shafts and super light "I can pull this thind all day" bows. But, I seem to get ignored every time I talk to an archer. In Trimaris, we actually reduced the poundage required. There were instance...

Eff... where does it say that the padding has to be attached?

Also, where does it say that if you are armoured sufficiently with one of the three choices, that you cannot hang... say... a spare tire around your neck?

What of folks that wear helms with poorly maintained bargrills? (for instance,...

If A without B is good enough for C Then A with any part of B also good enough for C Unless... a light mail drape, or a heavy mail aventail (either without padding), suddenly makes a padded gorget that it is coveri...

Wait... you were involved in writing the rules... the actual words... and you just said... "Never mind the comma"

You just did that?

You realize that the 'words' part and the 'commas' were important right?

So let me get this straight: If I do not wear a cuisse I am fine and dandy and my thigh can be legally pounded into hamburger. If I do decide to put a 10g plate of steel on my thigh, I need a 1/4" of padding to make it legal? So if no armor is neccesary, what exactly is the padding for? If I read t...
