I sent an email when I saw that they were taking new orders, but have not heard back. This has been about a week. Which is not outside of their time-frame for returning emails... My best advise is to be patient... they did sound sincere about following though with all current orders in a timely mann...

The chinstrap of my loaner helm "broke" at practice last year. It didn't so much "break" as, the chicago screw (that attached the chinstrap to the helm) un-screwed itself over time, and then fell out.

I use locktite on them now.

Depends on what you plan on doing with the shield (sca, larp, etc), what period you plan to portray (if that matters to you), and what time frame you plan to represent...

That might have been why the dynamat worked for me... the Sallet I had, didn't have any grill bars... so it was probably more of a bell than a tuning fork type thing.
