I'm considering getting one of the newer playstation2's and putting it upstairs in the rec-room. More space and better lighting.

Gotta keep the one I already have downstairs for Dance Dance, and Guitar Hero (downstairs TV is hooked up through the sterio).

I've always liked this one:

I will destroy them with a red mist of unreasoning fury wavering before my blazing eyes, I will cleft skulls, smash breasts, sever limbs, rip out entrails, and litter the field with a ghastly harvest of brains and blood.

Sold it. I discovered that I prefer wearing a bascinet. I routinely try different types of armours, just to see what its like to fight with them... After chatting and sparring with Duke Stephen of Beckenham last year at Gulf Wars, I thought I'd give the Sallet a try. After fighting in it a couple mo...

Action shot of my current rig (I think I'm sliding right for some dumbass reason), sans shield (I don't normally fight with that round shield). Legs are on their way out... they are gapping badly, dented so much there is significant metal fatigue... and I don't feel like fixing them up. Helm is also...

Alrighty... bought it this weekend... The problems I have had so far: My living room isn't big enough to stand far enough away from the tv to make it work without the trainer saying "step back from the TV" like every 30 seconds. You need at least 8 feet between you and the tv. I also don't have enou...

Thanks for the info Sir Tascius. I may actually gun blue and clear coat it now that you mention it. I hadn't thought of it before. The problem with the helm size is my head is 25 inches in circumference at the brow, and the helm is 26 1/2. I think it would fit a person with a 23" brow easily. I've u...

Helm Project 90% done

So, I recently bought one of the unfinished helms Matthias sold on the classified forum... It was a roughed out Sallet that he sold me for $50. His description: Bowl 1 was supposed to be a salet. Needs quite a bit of grind/sand/clean up on the outside, little shaping still etc. Good start. Still nee...

Sydney Anglo's "The Martial Arts of Renaissance Europe." is a great place to start. Its an awesome introduction into all that is swordfighting. It also helps that it is a very fun book to read, and the illustrations are great too. 100 stars out of 10. I'm reading it for the third time, off and on ov...

I tell this story better in person. This took place the night before an event a couple years ago. I cut the arms off of a hockey torso, and wear a lacrosse rib guard under that. I prefer the hockey gear with minimal foam, and a few plastic plates. The lacross gear has to be beefed up with heavy leather. I don't like the shoulders and arms, cause of the football player shoulder profile, so I cut ...

And I found a place to buy those fiberglass tent poles unassembled, so that you can make em to the length you want.

I think I'll go with that.

Its a very small tent.

8' high, the door is at 4 feet, then starts the cone, which is 5' in circumference...

If I spoke and wheel it, I wouldn't be able to stand up in it - the spokes would get in the way.
