5 foot diameter ring

How hard would it be, given access to a blacksmith shop... How hard would it be to make a perfectly circular 5 foot diameter ring out of 1/4" barstock? Either round or square in cross section... And, how heavy do you figure it would be? EDIT: And I wonder how much bar stock you would need... length ...

I have mouspads in my greaves, more to prevent a serious rubbing than anything.

I've been experimenting with "Yoga Mat" foam... for places like that, it's 1/2 the thickness of "Mouse Pad" foam... so it's not as obtrusive...

Yet, that is exactly not what Drew is talking about. :D

He's referring to the type surcoat that Duke Logan and his house wear into battle.

Rev. Drew is offline for a while, but I'll call him and tell him you're interested in the project for him, if you are.

Where do you get "10g Atlantium" Bascinets from? And do they make welded Atlantium ring aventails for them?

If you order an aventail off his site, do you have to email him about it? Or does the order automatically get to him?

Anybody know?

Doug,

I'm shocked you haven't responded to Cuan's offer yet.

We've talked on chat many times, and you kinda know me... Lemme give you a good reference. His Grace Cuan is a good man. You would do well to take him up on his offer of hospitality.

I'll take this one: Bowl 1 was supposed to be a salet. Needs quite a bit of grind/sand/clean up on the outside, little shaping still etc. Good start. Still needs interior seams welded. measures 9-1/2" front to back, 7-1/4" side to side and about 26-1/2" around. 12 gauge HR mild. Asking $50.00 + $12....

Look for upholstery tacks/trim. See what you can find. I know a lot of them are now made as one-piece.. tack and rosette

That was what it took... a quick search for "upholstery tacks" found all these:

I swore to my Baron, that on a future date I would wear a Baldric bearing the Baronial Badge and 12 sleigh bells, for a full year (one month for each bell), every time I fought at tourney.

It is pennance for a slight to him, at Gulf Wars last year.
