Can you help with Loaner Armour?
I am trying to get together a set of set of loaner armour for the new folks in my area. We have had some interest from new blood lately, but no way to armour them up and get them going. If you have old, stuff that I could take the rust off and paint, and restrap, and refurbish, that you could let go...

They're rigid material, why would they need any padding to meet the letter of the rules? butted usualy run around 80 and if you pad the neck removes the need for a gorget. Makeing one in 4-6 oz leather solves the same problem but requires a gorget. One thing that bothers me is that ZWA gorgets need ...

He stole the armour off a dead english knight (who would have been the one who took it from a dead turk, and then had it embellished with the lions). Remember? He decorated or had his armour decorated in his spare time? Isn't it a favorite way to pass the time to modify ones' kit? What better way th...

My first event I wore a pair of those tall black fringe moccosins... a pair of black sweat pants, a white collerless longsleeve shirt, and a huge black monks robe with a silver ankh on a huge silver chain. and a black belt with a silver dagger in a scabbard. Didn't have a clue. After wandering aroun...

Read Duke Logan's responce. Just giving you some perspective on the guy you're arguing with... do you really think you can change his mind about the seam of a glove being a fight ender when he doesn't think punching somebody in the face with an axe head would be a fight ender? Sure? I am guessing I ...

Do you think if somebody held handle of an axe, just under the head, and punched you with all their might, with the head of the axe, right in the face... do you think that would be a fight ender? ...snip... said a lot of stuf...

Review: Therion Arms
m I recently bought a buckler from Therion Arms. (this one: m ) It is exactly as advertised. Solid as a rock, excellent construction. The roll on the edge is excellent, the dish on the dome is great. The whole buckler is slightly concave as well, so it centers the weight on the handle. Really nice b...
