Brian, Glad to hear they are in. Could you give me a page number in which a picture of the hinges appear? The one you create as a project is hand hammered, these are cast, so I'm unsure if thats the ones your referring to. Also, (perhaps I missed it) but what/where are the rosettes. They aren't list...

Ok, to illustrate a point for both those that are being (I believe) too anti plastic to be reasonable and show what I believe is an effective use of plastic while keeping in the spirit of the game, I submit myself for review..... Agreed Brodir, I think the folks that are talking against plastic are having issue with the line "This reduction in weight results in a great increase in speed, as well as enabling the fighter to stay on the field far longer due to reduced fatigue" found on the site. Its that mind set that is at odd...

two fold. Much like what Vitus said, there is a practicality to transitional armour that makes it effective but still mobile enough to play out game. Also, trans kits have always been what I was attracted to, its been my icon of the knighly look since I was very small and with my new western kit it ...

Ok, I've been here long enough for everyone to know my opinion on plastic as a whole, however, I will say I'm kind of impressed by the guys stuff..... he actually has complex curves in this knees and greaves. Not bad at all. Its a frightening thought that someone would actually appear on the field a...

Turn shoes in two months..... (need)
Ok so Alastair is going walk about and I need some turn shoes (or a close proximity). Does anyone have a resource for them that could make them in a 2 month or less window? Historic Enterprises' won't work. Though beautiful, I wear a size 13.... they stop at an effeminate size 11 http://www.armourar...

Its true...... This was one of the most informative and entertaining classes I have attended. I knew you knew... just giving you a bit O' shit... And yes, its good, but, since foil and saber are both actively judged intent based matches it is the judges call. Its all a matter of how much later the attack lands. It can be call (and often is) waved off as a "non-attack". depends on your judge....

JT, Both foil and saber have "right of way"..an obnoxious little addition to the rules if you ask me but they didn't. If this was sport fencing he would have indeed gotten the hit because there was no parry ripose to take initiative back from the attacker....however, this is for combat with radio an...

Perhaps your right Bob but wouldn't a rapier be capable of that? If so are we then drawing a line between function and form? Good replies guys but I think your taking it further than Gaston was asking and not taking into account the light in which he is asking it...
