Oh, new idea... Doesn't involve wasting material...

Take tin foil, wrap it around your legs in the shape you want, and then tightly put the duct tape over that.

I had originally typed "not to be mean, but..." and then edited to see if I could omit the idea completely.

Guess I didn't! Sorry

I would asssume the rapidity of the responses was due to the idea that the answer wasn't that hard to come up with..? Not to be Mr. Obvious, but that one didn't take much rocket science! I thought we'd discussed this in person, already, and come up with that conclusion..?

Yes, you'll have to contact Chris about it... And @ Chef, the Von Prankh helm dates to about 1360-1380, if I'm not mistaken. The crest goes with it;)

Heh... I don't own a helm, right now, and never have had a 15th century one. As I said in the post you quoted, that was another picture of Jeff J's helm, as was requested.

As Tim said... Waaaay back! There is evidence for padded garments being worn by soldiers from Egyptian tombs, as well as Aegean art, such as the following example.

Mycenaean Warrior, circa 1200 B.C.

I win. It's a beautiful reproduction! I've admired it on his site before. But, I'll challenge your statement! This is a harness by Robert Macpherson. I don't believe I've ever seen a modern suit with so much detail. He based it on a suit dated to 1525. Further details are in his description... http...

Indeed! Very nice looking piece! Can't wait to see what it'll turn out like. What is it that tempted you to assume this piece was cuir bouilli rather than steel? Is the poleyn decorated in the effigy? I can't recall which one you're talking about specifically, but I do remember a couple from the per...

Folks, I think I'm going to settle with a Kastenbrust harness based on the Ludwig alterpiece, which was the same that influenced Robert Macpherson's kit for Sir Orlando. I'm assuming you're referring to my mention of the Kastenbrust armor, Alcy? I'm just wondering whether it's feasible that Justin's kit will be dated similarly. Also, ...

Cheers!
