Oh, new idea... Doesn't involve wasting material...
Take tin foil, wrap it around your legs in the shape you want, and then tightly put the duct tape over that.

I win. It's a beautiful reproduction! I've admired it on his site before. But, I'll challenge your statement! This is a harness by Robert Macpherson. I don't believe I've ever seen a modern suit with so much detail. He based it on a suit dated to 1525. Further details are in his description... http...

Indeed! Very nice looking piece! Can't wait to see what it'll turn out like. What is it that tempted you to assume this piece was cuir bouilli rather than steel? Is the poleyn decorated in the effigy? I can't recall which one you're talking about specifically, but I do remember a couple from the per...

Ha, ha, ha... Good one, Konstantine! Folks, I think I'm going to settle with a Kastenbrust harness based on the Ludwig alterpiece, which was the same that influenced Robert Macpherson's kit for Sir Orlando. He's way across the country, and his is spring-steel, rather than leather... So, I think we'l...

Thank you, ML. That's what I mean. I'm interested in different styles of plate armor that would work for a GERMAN impression (if you haven't noticed, I've decided on a name, and am currently developing my persona history). Any plate harnesses may be considered, if they are NOT your run of the mill s...

I'm assuming you're referring to my mention of the Kastenbrust armor, Alcy? I'm going to get a harness made in a style that would be dated to about 1440 or so, judging by the sources I'm using for inspiration. I'm just wondering whether it's feasible that Justin's kit will be dated similarly. Also, ...

I'd be outta' that closet in a second, if so... I can actually afford plastic! Anyway, everyone will get the jist soon enough that I've got a thing for leather armor. My 14th century kit will have "splinted" arm and leg armor from Dan, and then... Well, then... I'm having him make me a FULL harness ...

*Blink* How come when I tried to trade them no one was curious? My price was even lower... Lol, Dan's got a magic touch, I suppose! This is beautiful armor, and as usual, it was all a good fit. SCA: Armour you just DON'T SEE... For me!
Hello folks, As many know, I'm very enthusiastic about developing kit ideas, but haven't gotten around to doing much about it all! I'm in the midst of my first late-14th century kit, and it's going smoothly. I'll be very proud of it. But, it's very likely that I'll get SOME kind of plate harness put...

You might want to email Craig Sitch. He's the owner of Manning Imperial Armoury in Australia. His backlog can get pretty long from time to time (about a year) but it is much less now and then. www.manningimperial.com His work is always custom, so he can definitely suit your needs. His communication ...

Oh, yikes! I know what a stencil is! It's just the fact that most artists with his skill don't use them, as far as I could imagine. Mckron here has posted other work, David, I'm sure you've noticed. If you didn't notice, I don't think they make stencils for Gothic armor. I'm just doubting that he us...

Show & Tell: Reproduction 15th century Harnesses!
Hello folks, Post a picture of a 15th century harness you've seen or know of here! It can be yours, your fighter buddy's or might just be a kick ass image you found online! Let's see what you've got to share, though! I'll start it off with a picture of a suit made by Craig Sitch of Manning Imperial....
