Not a problem, Padrig. We all have our own styles that we like. Most people aren't interested in the Bronze Age at all, and know nothing about it except what they saw in the film TROY that was actually historical (which was very little). So I simply pity that you have not yet discovered the truest b...

Once again, lets try to let this thread die... No more posts, no more posts...

Not armor, but fabric-paint works!

Hello there, folks. I've spent the last couple of evenings working on the front side of my Mycenaean tunic with fabric paint. I've decided to use a blue, as opposed to the popular reconstruction-color of black. Matthew Amt already took that one;) After this is completely dried once the "24 hour peri...

Now, at my request, I'd like for no further posts to be made in this. I regret making this thread in the first place, but I was a little over the top last night so I didn't think to not spam the boards before i posted. So let's just let this one die, folks. Sorry for the mess. I can imagine that TH...

There are not two kinds of "facts" Mike. Those that are proven are, and those that are speculative that we aren't sure about are not. We cannot literally prove or disprove the speculative since we cannot be omnicient. But, as far as solid evidence goes, those that are speculative are NOT "facts" suc...

Well if you're willing to mean it, then I will. But, you must remember we ended with a "handshake" during our last entanglement. I'd rather not get into another one. So, just REMEMBER that I do not have a problem with you (or, I didn't before last night, when I decided to make this thread) and that ...

Maybe too stong a word? I actually stopped writing and had to think of what to say. What I was tryin' to get at was that I think he was in the wrong, and I was tryin' to keep composed before he blew me over... I suppose "spite" is a little worse than that! My bad. -Gregory- p.s. For your benefit, since the update STILL isn't on the site, here's the description: [quote]Mycenaean Helmet- This is my first attempt at making a Mycenaean helmet. Although there are no detailed...

To expand on that... That's the official United Cutlery Sauron's Gauntlet. It comes with a pretty little display case and all of that good stuff. Yeah Hal, I made the stand. It's just using a basic 1-3/8th in. dowel like those I use for my big spear or pole-arms and it's screwed/glued to the piece of wood as the base. The helmet is dated to about 1200 BC, based on the two artistic representations I combined to design it, that is. It is from t...

My completed Mycenaean Helmet

Hey folks! I've had my incomplete helmet on my Mycenaean page for some time... Well, I finished it up! All it needed was some final staining, a chin-strap and the horns! The new description and three images will be up to replace the old stuff on the site later this evening (Pacific time). The main i...

French Galley model kit for sale

Hey folks,

I have had this on Ebay for a couple of nights.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

The description tells all. IF by chance there are pieces missing, I'm afraid I can't be held responsible because I never touched the kit. I'm confident that it's all there after looking it over, though.

It's possible. Anything is, really... Aliens could have helped build the pyramids! The point is that if there is no proof, then it's not a fact, so, I don't think we should even consider worrying about horned helmets (in the sense most people think of them) with any historic accuracy from the Dark A...
