I take this question a bit differently than most in here... I think the choice is being given as you can ACHIEVE either one or the other... Not that you magically get one, and will get the other over time. If I knew that over the rest of my career in live-combat, I could either look really good and ...

I got lucky... My dad was buying farm equipment from a guy, and he threw a 155# into the lot for free... Mine, now! :D I'd like a larger one, eventually. I think I'm going to mount this one on a stump, if I ever find a good stump!

Lewis Moore "Rus" Helmet w/aventail for sale! $200

Hey folks, I purchased this helmet from Lewis Moore of Knight's Armoury a few months back (He's since stopped taking commissions on a regular schedule, I believe). I've worn it to a couple of events and people have really found it cool, and it fits me great. But, I'm quickly adopting more accurate g...

I actually think that if it is, then our very own D'antioche made the helmet and cuirass! Nice joke, Egfroth. -Gregory-...

No javelins for a hoplite at this time. They fought in tight phalanxes, so, they were no longer used, with the spear taking over. Jason's right about this one. There are plenty of pottery depictions of the "Italo-Corinthian" helmets being worn.
