When you get to about 1290 effigies, you see some metal elbows appearing. Not to say there were not any prior but this site is not showing what I see to be solid elbows before then.

Hi, please excuse me if this is a dumb question, but is it SCA Heavy legal with it being 16 gauge? It looks really cool, I'm talking about the stainless helm. Thanks! It mikes out at minimum thickness for SCA combat. I bought this from Soliel (sp) here on the archive. He had used it for jousting th...

I will say this however. That rig will be lighter than the one Brychen and I gave you Without a doubt plastic and cord are lighter than leather and steel. But I'm fine with what I've been using. Currently tracking down some 'sno-seal' to help preserve the leather. But I'm doing fine with what I've ...

So is lamellar just the plates that have been tied together in some fashion? Is there something under it that the plates have been tied onto? Just curious, there's no way your armor could fit me without extensive modifications. Roak's about your height and my build Hauptman. The plates are tied to ...

Some of the ones I was talking about (I'm at work now and can't get on flickr at work.) were entirely covered in something that looks like leather. Even the grills so that they have cool little hemmed (sp?) eye holes. I could be entirely wrong about how they're made though. Would covering the helm ...

Re: looking for inexpensive gauntlets
im looking for a pair of inexpensive gauntlets my price range is sixty five dollars or less. $65.00 or less. I may just have to wait until I can build up more cash. If you can bump this up to $125 a lot more options become available for full gauntlets. But at that range your best bet is watching he...

Subquestion: How hard is it to get an unconventional, or atleast, a grill that doesn't look like monday night NFL? I'll get pics tonite if I can get to the shop and post em u...

Re: A few new things.
Somehow I seem to have gotten better at this whole armouring thing. Matt, Speaking for myself I have to say I've been impressed by the improvement your workings. Couple years ago when I first saw your work I wasn't awed at all. Now your skills have come to the point where I look at what you are doi...
