I don't wear rerebraces so my spaulders are strapped to buckle right over my arm. I drill holes in the lowest lame and use a thin strap.

To be sca legal the cuff would have to enclose the wrist. Either cover the gap with a plate or heavy leather .

Bokalo had made some youth helms from aluminium that looked pretty sharp. They were running around $100 last Pennsic at his stand.

Nope.. I wouldn't mind at all. Your OCD now will spare MY OCD later I think an edge on piece of rod would work really well. How wide is the eyeslot now? 7/8"? Pretty hard to tell from a photo, but given the measurements, that's what it looks like to me. I wouldn't bother cleaning it up too muc...

They are used to being the long range mega-dudes who can kill someone without being touched and don't like it when someone else has a longer range then they have. I have a love hate relationship with combat archers.. Love them when they are on our side shooting those directed to shoot and generally creating havoc and mayhem on the opponent..
I hate them when I'm having a good day playing spear and become the target du jour for the enemy's arrows.

I know of no related deaths other than heart attacks. Injuries however.. Torn ACL during a fight practice (the guy I was fighting at the time) I've had to have the ligament on my right thumb pinned into place (gauntlets allowed thumb to move too far backwards. Dr's refer to this as skiers thumb) Ohh...

I have a bardiche and a voulge that are "By my hand" heads...I really like em. I only wish I could mount them on 7.5 foot polearms here in my kingdom.. Purely for the aesthetics of it.
