I think they are the right company, but their website is under reconstruction so I couldn't check.

I've heard that in other states as well and every time someone actually checked it wasn't the case.
Just urban legend.
Check with your county attorney.

I can concur with William here and I'm in Pa. No weapons discharged within the borough limits here as well.

How many? Where? Please point. I've seen a few verticals.. There have been some pictured here on the archive. If you want photos of one. I'll be at brychen's in the next day or so. I would presume a photo accompanied by the page, book and author will suffice? And it was vertical and crossbar caged.

But if there's gonna be a "rule" it needs to be overarching.. and from the top down. It needs to involve THE WHOLE SOCIETY.. not just the kitchen, not just court, not just the battlefield. Would I love to see everyone move towards medieval gear? Sure. But, as I've said before.. if you wan...

In other words, you decided to re-interpret "an attempt" to mean what you wanted it to mean, rather than what it had clearly meant for the preceeding THIRTY YEARS? Ah. that clears it RIGHT up. You know, I could see all this kerfuffle and bluster if the SCA had started out as some model of...

Anyone may attend Society events provided he or she wears an attempt at pre-17th century clothing, conforms to the provisions in Corpora, and complies with any other requirements (such as site fees or waivers) which may be imposed. Now this is straight from Corpora Page 4. This would seem to encompa...

Perhaps the KEM had the broader discussions, and then took their findings to the meeting with the SEM? I know the Midrealm KEM as opinions of fighters regarding rules and weaponry. Pretty consistently too. How many fighters would be a broad enough discussion? 25? 50? Just Knights? Think anything wo...

So far it's been doing very well.. Have a couple very small bits where it's rubbed off.. A quick shot of flat black spray paint fixed it... But all in all it has held up better than I actually anticipated..

In my opinion, we honor our opponent when we fall instead of merely saying "Good head." It also serves to entertain those around us who may not hear the aknowledgement. Why must it be a fall?? When I'm bested I step back voice "Well done" and salute the victor.. Duke Logan will ...

Ah! But the context of this discussion is how in a demo or tournament sword fights are often boring to watch. Were Pas d'armes done in private? A tournament is done before an audience. We are not fighting alone. Why do we salute the crown? Why do we salute the gentle whose token we bear? It seems t...

Actually Tally, Broadway is right.. The only person you need to acknowledge being bested to, aside from yourself, is your opponent. Everyone else doesn't matter.. If you want to put on a show over being bested, knock your socks off. The fact is though, that's a choice you are making for yourself.
