I have been guilty of this in the last couple of weeks, when I had a single thread, I got very few requests for info. I'll defer to the wishes of the majority because I believe in being a good citizen, but results for me have been better on focused sales rather than general sales .... That's okay, ...

I second the Mantees I own a pair that I've used for 5 years, but if I were to do it over again. Honestly I'd go the next step up and get the "Cat's ass" version with the enclosed thumb.

The guy that powder coated mine did an excellent job on coverage. The secret according to him was getting it spread enough to apply. He hit it from all directions and it came out damn near perfect. Now I did have to roll out the stiff spots but that was about 10 minutes of bouncing it up and down in...

Drogo's shirt is sold... Couldn't find Finn's thread will look again later

Powder coating is a process where a plasticized paint is sprayed and then baked onto the surface the aluminium. It does scratch off but can be "patched" with some flat black spray paint.

My biggest gripe is that aluminum mail looks like, well, aluminum. I suppose you can pretend that it's tinned steel mail (that IS period), but somehow it doesn't look right, and I've yet to find an adequate solution to that. Powder coat it... That's what I did..basic black powder coating. Improved ...

I have an aluminium haubergeon that I wear under my primary protection.. It holds up under those conditions. I'd be very leery of using it as my outermost layer. Just not strong enough to handle the abuse. Drogo the clueless has a steel shirt for sale for about what you'd pay for a new aluminium...I...
