Buddy of mine has a wooden shield that we rounded the edges to. Then we applied autobody Fiberglass resin to the face and covered with canvas. It's held up very well. By way of comparison another friend of mine had the exact shield ( in regards to materials and construction) but didn't want to spend...

Snakes require an axe. Shovels will do in a pinch. A Rossi Coach gun in 12 gauge works well too. 2 Years ago my dad was leaving the cabin when he spied two odd sticks standing up in the yard. Turns out there were two rattlesnakes in the rapture of Lust. Being a man of simple decisions and actions, ...

Angusm- Johann is right, I am located in Nithgaard. Zohar, Where in Aethelmearc are you?? If you're close enough, I can offer use of my shop and time to get you something going. As an added bonus I have lots of bits (elbows, knees, vambraces) lying about from the guys that upgraded or changed their kits and donated the stuff to me for use on others.

Sir Timothy of Arindale used this fairly often when he first moved to Caid. He was quite good with it, it was fairly surprising. Duke Tim's now living a few miles from me...Haven't seen him use the "Ducal Dickey" so far. BUT that shot is used now again by others I've witnessed. And yeah.....

I would however advise you to do what I did. Powder coat them. Otherwise you look like a Uwe Bohl Extra in photos.

Plate and mail are proof. Reward those wearing actual armour. I like it! You would... I don't care for it because it allows the armour scale to slide away from earlier period persona that are being accurately portrayed.. Take Graedwyn for example. His kit is full on Norman. Now you're going to puni...
