True enough.

If that's directed at me, then you're preaching to the converted. I'm already assembling a C&T kit. I'm in Atlantia. C&T has been legal here for a couple of years, but the number of marshals/practitioners is still rather low. It's not a priority in this kingdom. Sorry, that was a tongue-in-...

Make the Crown tourney follow the three R's... Rattan, Rapier and Real .... compete in Heavy, light and with live weapons and let the most well rounded participant win. Live weapons? Re: SCA Heavy Fighting for Dummies

What's the importance of the "butt wrap"? Why is that a standard shot? There's also a couple of different things to consider regarding combat (armored or unarmored) and the wrap shot. The actual wrap shot is the same body mechanics as the coup de jarnac or the falso dritto. German styles ...

The fencers who want to make SCA fencing more realistic might well welcome a knight as an ally. In other words, you can't change fencing from the outside. We'd love to have you come play C&T. Ahem. Mostly, I think, it's the availability of the helmets that slows people down for C&T. If you ...

WTB custom pendant

I have a fairly simple pendant design, but am completely lacking in skills and tools to make it for myself. I'd given a jeweler/metalworker within the SCA the design and a couple of ounces of silver in trade for the pendant, but it's been about a year now. While I'm not giving up on that front, I'd ...

SN Exports makes gussets/voiders, but I'm not sure if it's the full sleeve or not, or where you'd be able to buy without going directly through them.

Historic Enterprises has some, but they only appear to cover the bottom half of the arm.

If you are a nobleman, you will have decent armour, whether Scots, English, Irish or Welsh. Don't believe Hollywood. Depending on the period, he ain't far off on the Irish. Best way to figure out armor styles for the Irish is to take a look at what everyone else was wearing 100 years before that (2...

SCA/heavy Morions?

A friend of mine is looking at a later period Spanish persona and was wondering about morions and who makes them for the SCA.

Any suggestions? I know Icefalcon can probably do them, but I didn't see any pictures up on the site if one's been done in the past. Anywhere/one else?
