Does it matter where it's made? If I said it was made by an apprentice here in my Australian workshop would that change your view? Your thoughts? Ok, here is a pic of my kit with my current helm. I am the one in the black with the white cross. My current helm has ALOT of nice sides that catch stick where others would not. Bellisimo... but since they tended to export their visored sallets, shouldn't it have a barbuta or an armet for that cap-a-pied Italian look? Or a bellows face Sallett...that would look pretty hot... In my understanding.... Transitional refers to armour of the 14th century (give or take some), during the transition from mail to plate as the primary defense. Currently I fight only in a flat top great helm and I love it....Am working on a Visored Sugarloaf ala the Luttrell Psalter....As far as I'm concerned...There is almost no sexier helm than the Sugarloaf...Hopefully min turns out as well as Sinrics...Hopefully it should , since I'm using his pattern....
