As long as the tip doesn't get between the grills , who cares...I mean really...You can swing a sword ALOT harder than you can thrust it....Course, if your worried about it..wear better armour.... :lol:

I fight in a flat top great helm...Have no problem seeing..Course, probable not as good as a helm with bars...But..Well enough..The air issue is more in your head than anything...As Aaron said the air is hotter...But it was a mental exercise when I first wore it to breath...When I get a slight break...

If you look at those videos you an see Fiore, Liechtenauer, and possibly some Silver in there. Thought I saw some MS I.33 in there as well...Looks real good from my veiw anyways...Just wish there was more around my area wanting to do it...Seems all the C&T guys are down south around Aarons area...

If you don't mind doing some of the work work yourself...Halbreds here on AA has a couple kits left if I am remembering correctly. The price is excellent and the workmanship for the kit is fantastic. IIRC they were about $80 each plus shipping...You just have to do some forming and rivet/weld parts ...

OK..Now for the questions...Were did you get the goose feathers...And did you use silk or linen thread for the wrap? I did some a few years ago with linen, but all I had was some thicker stuff, and I didn't like how it came out...Been useing silk since then, the added bonus is I can have more colors...

Thanks Kenwrec, thats the one...I based mine off the #3, but has a canvas shell...Just something to get me on the feild with my own armour...Although the shell has torn pretty good(1 layer) so this winter I'm planning on re-doing the whole thing with some 5-6oz chrome tan leather...It should hold up...

It seems to me to make perfect sence...In battle you may get turned around go looking for your lord and see someone that has the same colors as some one your spose to be killing...and well, you can see where I'm going... I'm just not sure how often it was done..Not much artwork that I have found sho...
