You're quite right about people making the event. I've set up an album with commentary captions here: http://tinyurl.com/4gl7oq . Now that I've figured out just how easy this is, I should be more responsive with pictures in the future. Great pictures.... Got to comment on the one with Alan behind J...

First of all, there can be only one Hospitaller in Calontir, and I was here first, so yes, the helm has to go as well as the Kappa. So, when I see you next, the almighty has decided I must kill your persona. Brother Sean...This would be unwise....For as the ONLY Hospitaller in Aremisia...I know it ...

Alot of that would depend on whether or not you are making butted, or historically accurate riveted mail....If accuracy is what you are trying to do...Then get some 18gauge wire. After you have made your rings, anneal them and flatten them, then rivet them. If you are just going for butted mail, use...

I was curious if there is a pict from behind somewhere...When I look a it, I am seeing what ,to me, looks like the top of a loop just above the main pouch draw ties...Doesn't look like the rest of the leather that has been bunched up....So I was thinking thats a belt loop..Could be wrong though.... ...

In the end it's pretty doable.. . And though I DO think that the long skirt/tunic thing is largely a fantasy aesthetic element, it looks pretty badass, so I say your buddy should go with it I've seen much, much, much worse. The tunic is NOT fantasy....It's straight early 14C while the rest, with th...

I would say 1400's not 1300's....I don't recall the plackard being used during the 14C, but I could be wrong...The kettle hat/bevor combo looks a bit wonky to me as well.... Seems like the picture has combined elements of both the 14 and 15C era's The tunic looks too long for late 14C ,that looks(to...
