what is your lamellar made of? black plastic from a 55 gal. drum. It's the classic case of "done" trumps "upgrade." Once I got it finished the necessity to make new armor to replace it evaporated. Jovian So, what are you actually askin? Are you trying to improve your armour now?...

We really never have a problem with local LEO's...Course we practice right outside the county lock-up...And one of our members works there as well as several other friends of mine...They just know it's me out there with my strange friends... :lol:

Alot of that would depend on whether or not you are making butted, or historically accurate riveted mail....If accuracy is what you are trying to do...Then get some 18gauge wire. I was curious if there is a pict from behind somewhere...When I look a it, I am seeing what ,to me, looks like the top of a loop just above the main pouch draw ties...Doesn't look like the rest of the leather that has been bunched up....So I was thinking thats a belt loop..Could be wrong though.... ...
