That woulda been cool, WT. Assesment is unlikely. Still holding out hope, but very unlikely. We have near zero ability to camp (medical stuff), so untill I can build my climate controlled Mobile Cottage of Luxury (tm), camping is pretty nonexistient for us. I'm not even sure we can afford it. But we...

How do you go about holding everything in place while the glue sets? I been trying to wrap my mind around that idea, and I"m sure it's a simple answer, but I just aint getting it.

Eldric, is that the first of it's type? How long did it last? By waxed, do you mean wax-hardened, or just waxed in the normal finish way? I hope it survives a fairly average length of time. That would be so much cooler than a duct-tape wrapped cane with a basket or crosshilt. Thanks, Christopher

Vitale, that is the bees' knees, man. I mean, that is 31 flavors of awesome. Anyone know if that'd be legal in Atlantia, or in any of the big wars? I like the spiney one too. I've been keeping up with that part, Angus. It was Sir Konrad's statement that confused me. Made it sound like the BoD had some agenda to get someone else onto the throne. Not trying to stir anything, I'm just confused. Who is trying to take the throne by paper? Is someone from the BoD planning a takeover? Did someone narc Lutr to the BoD?

But let us remember, it is a fictional world in a fantasy novel. The armour looks great, and functional. It looks very functional. I think the reason people use the chanel stuffing is because it can be fiendishly difficult to sew thu the layers. Not everyone can manage hand stitching a 1/2" thick slab of fabric, and most of the rest of us don't have a machine that can. It gives a good compromise between managable and reaso...

The Cylon eyeslit is very unusual to find running around. But doesn't it take away what little preiferal vision you have left? It seems a very short, central eyeslit.

Very interesting, tho.

Next question on that pic; What is the horizontal band on their head? Is that part of the coif (on the scale guy it looks like a seperate coif rather than a hood), or something to hold it still?

And does anyone have larger versions of these?
