Looks quite a bit like a leather BP design I've been tinkering with patterns for. Glad to see it's viable, and even folds for easy travel (patterns fold pretty easy, but one never knows with the finished stuff...lol)

Pretty fair looking piece for the SCA.

Edmond, you don't have to stitch anything to keep the edging in place?

How much duct tape do you use, and does the glue penetrate into the rope? Or have you totally sealed it witht the tape?

Love to see some pics on the finished product.

Thanks,

Josh, I would assume the solid cuirass is the way to go, since it replaced the CoP. Why phase it out if it worked just dandy? The problem is many of us just can't swing the price tag on a really custom fitted cuirass.

And some of us are trying to fit into smaller ones...lol

I'd use Titebond 3 over the 2. Can't say from personal experience, but I've heard the 3 oes better with wet conditions after it dries. So what we have so far is to use acryllics. Scrape or sand the gessoed surface. Only 1 mention of how many coats of gessoing, so, we'll go with Sir Vitus's 6 coats. ...

Aeric, you should post your Tinker wagon as well. I was looking at those photos over the weekend.

Between this work, and what I saw of the wagon, I'd say your attention to detail is absolutely titanic.

Good stuff.

I think a 10 year old Irish whiskey is less a fighting drink and more the relaxing with a woman in your bed drink. But then, Bulleit is too, so I gues it all works I'm not sure how a pourpoint would help with the cuppage specifically. Bjorn, do see a certain irony in taking hooks of a breast cup hol...
