Ok. That's good to know.
Do the gussets really make that heavy of a difference in how it moves?
Thanks!

A Few Questions on 13th Century Tunic Patterns
OK, I have been going thru the intarwebs for the last couple hours looking at tunic patterns. I'm restricted to the free ones online for the time being. Now, the Kragelund tunic, I have read from wearers, allows fantastic freedom of movement. I've also never found a date running it out of the 12th c...

And of course, that whole particular discussion was somewhat off-topic.... All bullshit rant talk asside... I'd like to see hjalmr fix Ingvarr's friends helm issue. Unless all you can do is rant away and bitch at the circumstances hjalmr. Cause, thats exactly what its looking like you are doing. que...

Cool, thanks for all the options. I've got an inquiry in with Windrose, and I got a TJ MAxx nearby if I go that way. Tanks for the McMaster Carr link. I kinda didn't expect them to carry that stuff. It's pretty chewy, but shock full of good info. But which firmness do I want for maximum brain safety...

Lol...I am honored that you would chew thru so much timber to help me gather information! Sounds plenty bombproof. Owyn, the cops are not too shallow or small? They look from his photos to be smaller than is normal for SCA, but more in line with period sizes. And he told me if I wanted deep big SCAd...

Closed Cell Foam Sources
I need padding for SCA heavy combat under armour. What are good, current, and preferably brick-and-mortar suppliers of 1/2" closed cell foam? Online will work if no chains (or anyone local to Hampton Roads) carry them, I just like being able to walk into a store and buy it. Preferably higher gr...

First up, as a guy who's watched his fair share of anime, and has a Naruto-obsessed stepson, it's a pretty good job. Looks pretty fair. I second what guys said about the fit looking like it's off, and the polish issues (not that I'm any good at polishing metal..lol) I understand where Eff is coming ...

I appreciate and the passion on both sides of the issue, and Ingvarr's conviction to let me know not everyone got what they were after. But I've read a ton of reviews about Hjalmr's customer service. I have little doubt that Hjalmr will work to make any problems right. Especially with the public dec...

Hjalmr Review Needed- Longevity
I am very seriously considering having Hjalmr make me a hat. Me and him have been discussing the style, and everything's been great thus far. I've seen nothing but positive reviews about what people received from him, and the experience in dealing with him. I have no worries about any of this. My re...

I did, but they're not right. I'm trying to land as close to the boots on David: m Bohemond doesn't really offer any of this type. Most people don't At the moment it comes down to the laced 14th century model by Revival.us, and the Early Medieval shoe from Revival Clothing. I like the look for Rev C...

Hmmm, so the Revival.us hi-tops with buckles aren't too good, but the the shoes with ties are entirely adequate and worth the effort? I don't really like the model that Bohemond has for that. I asked Bob, they're not carrying what I'm after yet. They said next year. And from what I hear about the Re...

Freehand stitch groover is your friend. It'll basically scrape the inked skin off. Other wise, a painted border or Milan's stitch idea. You can do a stitch that will hide all the lines. The saddle stitch he mentioned will cover the lines from hole to hole, and you can do a decorative vertical stitch...
