He cant clean it, but if you get it from him, then you wont need to. I dont think Steve is trying to keep this back as a business ploy. It is simply a sign of respect for his fellow businessman, kind of like Halberds sig line. Caveat Emptor (sp?). Buyer Beware. If you are really that concerned, look...

My point is that comfort is entirely dependant on the person. I wear a kidney belt, and a heavy gambeson my lady made over it. I am also about to start wearing padded shorts, to protect my legs, but mostly low-profile stuff. Then again, I have a giant shield, and tend to get hit in the head mostly. ...

Has anyone experimented with putting the tie against the temple, or heavily cheated to one side, instead of under the throat? It would solve the "We never see ties under the chin" arguement, along with making it feel less "baby-ish" (one of the arguements why people hate coifs). I would be intereste...

I have cought people on their shield arm (not elbow) when I throw a dropping offside (I had a wierd style going for a while). Got the basket inside their shield, and managed to hit their bicep. Not a normal shot at all, or something I do currently, but it can happen. Maybe they are concerned with th...

It is designed for SCA combat. As far as I remember, it is 14ga. throughout. Steve outsourced these to India, but they are of a pretty high quality, unlike most of the other stuff that come out of there. I have handled them before, and they are an unbeatable price for the quality you get. Building a...

Hey Mike, practice is tomorrow. I would like to check around and see if it is going to fit someone pretty good tomorrow, before I ask for it, and then it doesnt fit anyone. If that is OK with you, I will drop you a line either LATE tomorrow night, or Wed. morning. If it is too long a delay, I will p...

Thanks. Started flipping though the book, and in Folio 10, top (out of the square) has the King of Hai wearing a crown over a coif, being hung from (in commentary) a formidable engine of war or (transliteration) " hung the king thereof on a gibbet until the evening " (Josue viii:18-29) http://www.me...

Looks a lot better. I would bump the Home button down a line, to make it in line with everything else, and then leave that taskbar in place throughout all the pages (so I can go from Clothing to Armour, without having to go through the homepage). Also, I would add the background "button" to Home on ...

Gwen, I am not sure about your reasoning with regards to the Crowns with maille coifs. Several other places in the Mac Bible show the heumes (sp?) with crowns built into them/worn around them, possibly due to them being "evil" and therefore not wearing the most up-to-date gear. I am going to look up...

Hey Mike, is this a front, or a front and back (aka full kidney protection)? I would be interested, as I just got authorized under a month ago as a YC marshall, so this would go to a child, and then get re-put into our lending loaner gear. We have a bit of stock loaner stuff, and then I am building ...

That all depends on what it is made out of, who it is coming from, and the quality you can expect from said person. Duke Andreas (Icefalcon Armouries) makes a helm that you can fight in for the rest of your fighting career (several decades), but you are paying a bit more for quality materials, and t...

I would look into the caring and feeding of birds of prey, before getting too far into it. It takes a lot of dedicated work to be legally certified to have falcons/hawks, as well as commitment of time, and money. I have worked with birds before, and it is a full time job. That being said, I would ch...
