The loom I made for her was one I bought from Lady Constanza. I bought the preassembled pieces and then put it together. Beautiful red cedar.

Thanks. The only thing I could find on their website was under the kid's section, which basically said, "They were used to hold water", with one picture. Does anyone else know of any existing bottles, Mary Rose or not? Thanks.

What are the measurements on the gambeson? I am a kind of long and skinny, so I am not sure it would fit. Also, if you dont mind me asking, what is the reserve? I am not sure I would be able to afford it depending.

I, personally, would be more inclined to the first. Sounds a little less ren-fairy/playing at King Arthur to me. But there is a guy around here named Theoden, so whatever works for you.

I am looking for information about the status of leather bottles excavated from the Mary Rose . I have heard that they found existing bottles, but have not managed to come up with any other historical resources. I am mainly looking for pictures, dimensions, and other information about known artifact...

I have heard that their form needs to be better than average, due to the lack of mass to put behind the blow. Teach them to put their whole body into the blow, starting with the legs and hips. Then add in the shoulders and finally the arms. The other thing to look at is where they are holding their ...

I ended up buying a hauberk from him at GW, and it was exactly what I expected. Ended up selling it because of cash reasons, but it just lost a few rings due to bad closings (16ga, 5/16 butted). Great to work with. Not sure if he is busy at an event right now (as far as email).

What exactly about that helm reinforces the idea of a riveted patch on the eyeslot. I dont see anything special about that helm. A bigger picture maybe, or one from the side, please?

I would agree with both of you, and take it one step further. If it bounces off said things, and then I get some sword on it, and MY SWORD hits me with a "good" blow, I call myself dead. Doesnt matter which weapon hits me, but if one does, it doesnt matter what it hit first, or whose it is.

I am saying that against an opponent wearing mail, the falchion is extremely effective. Shearing shots with the tip of a real falchion can cut open a mail shirt. I walked up to an abandoned metal freezer and cut it open like it was a beer can with tip shots. With an SCA falchion, just hit people wi...

Yes, but you are assuming that fighter 1 and 2 expect the same from there opponent. I was trained that if I had to think more than half a second, it was good.
