Re: rondell hilts

For the three inch washer for the mace, I get the bottom is just screw on; but how do you secure the top one? I have my own dog kong mace and would like to barrow the idea for mine. The opening on the 3" washers is 1 1/4" so I use rattan a little bigger. I shape the handle to fit the wash...

The people that are doing bulk either are doing plasma cutting or using dies. Hand doing metal plates is very possible but you will lose your mind doing thousands of plates by hand. You could try Darkwood Armory and see if it's something they could do. It is a possibility. Sir Brian has a water jet and cuts patterns out of pre-tempered steel slats. I have strips of mouse pad in mine and it has worked great. Mine don't ground out either and I have had some solid shots without difficulty.

I'll second the use of nails for the rivets. Home Depot and Lowe's sell aluminum roofing nails that work and hold up great.

I would avoid comedy, especially the kind that isn't that funny.

Kingdom or Baronial colors are easy choices or go with something simple that is personal for you.

What is your persona? Look at art from your time period for examples.

Saddle stitching is markedly superior to loop and lock style stitching ...
