I was taught Ashtanga yoga, and I can't say enough about how good it is. In addition to the strength and mental benefits, it helps stretch your muscles and makes you less likely to get injured while fighting. There are a lot of yoga beginner dvd's as well. You can get good benefits at home learning ...

I don't do C&T, but I have done some rebated steel through the Yomsvikings & VikingsNA. You need no where near the force with steel that you do with rattan for an effective blow, so I think there is more chance of injury from a new person than someone who knows what they are doing. I think i...

2 issues you will run into:

1) you will not be able to get a real deep dishing without it splitting
2) it will dent easily

So just keep that in mind.

Having handled Greenshield's brass lamellar vest I can say it is VERY heavy. You will not want all of that brass on your forearms. Another option will be to talk to Jamie at Polar Bear Forge and get something custom done out of a lighter material.

+1 on the electrolyte front. That is a likely culprit.

Do you have a shaved handle? You can overwork the muscles in your forearm quickly with a poorly shaped handle, or one that is too big for your hand.

The main reason we decided to not allow unpadded glaives in GA was that they look like crap. It was an aesthetic decision, not a safety one.

Tippy usually means the tip skipped off part of their armour. I wear mail and will not call tippy shots because, going by our standard, it would not have been an incapacitating blow.

If you "rock someone's world" with a shot, that is not tippy. Tippy doesn't land with force.

My linen/cotton batting gambeson breathes fine, and Florida only has south Louisiana by a few degrees on the hot scale. And while I wear mail that breathes, the metal heats up nicely.

Well I would prefer to get the set of vambraces I already paid for. Apparently there are several here that would rather get the item we paid for than a refund. I would appreciate it more if you would work it out with George and complete my order. It is what I have waited a year for. Uric Ricky Dufrene

So if I have been waiting a year for a set of vambraces I ordered, and ya'll have a set in stock, what are the chances that I might get a set of vambraces?? I'm not sure if this is stuff you have or if this is joint supply between you and Dan, but it is upsetting to see something "in stock"...
