I really hate to do this, but if anybody talks to Ken, tell him that he has until July 19th to refund my deposit or I will be forced to bring law enforcement into this.

I really hate to...but I have to get my money back.

Stonekeep to the white courtesy phone please!

Stonekeep,

I am wondering if I can just purchase the back half of a gorget?...

I have a bevor front that doesnt have a back, and I need a back part to cover the "off button" (as our local marshall calls it) on the back of my neck.

Is this possible?

Should we have the Ladies of the Rose on the sidelines in cheerleader uniforms with the kingdom populace badge, too? Maybe we can have pep bands, and dress the Marshalls in black-and-white striped shirts, while we're at it! And the Laurels could come out for a halftime show during the holds, with a...

I think that two, "uniformed" forces going at it with each other sounds really cool. easier to tell whos on your side too. I am new to the field, and am nto a member of a household, but shoudlnt it hold that the allegence to the crown over house? Doesnt (theoretically) the king allow the households ...

(SCA) I qualified for greatsword last night!

I qualified for fighting greatsword last night! They were trying to get me qualified with sword and shield, but I really wasnt doing that well. Then the local marshal looks at me and says "I want you to try greatsowrd" so they found me one, found me some gauntlets, we engaged and.. I pummled the cra...

I think I have found a name

After doing some searching on s-gabriel, I have narrowed it down to 1 last surname and 2 given names... let me know what you think either Jean-Phillipe Bon Vin or Lancelot Bon Vin (real given name! 2 sources from paris mid 15th century) I chose Bon Vin because it really just hit me.... Bon Vin (also...

Part of the "quantity" aspect is also insurance that the group os going to last for a while. Look at the American Grange. Grnages are dying becuase all of thier members are dying. I am a Mason. Glen, I actually agree with you. UNfortunatly the SCA probably will never adopt a minimum standard any higher than what it already has. The SCA is a business...a non-profit yes...but a business all the same. Its a lot easier to bring in more people..i.e. more money... if the minimum standard is set ...

Well...antique is a pretty fluid term....an Item only has to be what...70 years old to be an antique? 50? or is 50 vintage....30-20 retro.

I know a car only has to be 40 years to register as an antique...20 as a vintage.

Why the SCA? Because where I live there really isnt anything else. Really. Maine seems to be a pretty dead spot for this sort of thing. Every group that I know of...that isnt the SCA...was formed by members of the group that I started with and when they split off (AKA were kicked out) they started t...
