I showed them pics of my old kit, and then showed them pics of the kit that is being built for me. While some people thought it was a great improvement, others called it "be...

You are in the right mind set though..trying to get people onto the field quick and cheap. Its an admirable thing to do. None of these people who...

Well...they are usign relative dating.... (I did a huge report on dendrochronology) there argument is...by knowing the age of the well, and other things surrounding it, then the helmet cannot have been sitting in the well for longer than the wells date. No, it doesnt really tell how old the hemlet i...

couple of questions regarding crusaders
Well for the first.... What other armor would they wear to supplement the mail? Ive seen some posts of armored surcoats...were these common? Also..in "Kingdom of Heaven" (yeah I know bad source of information...but killer for inspiration) There was a hospitaller wearing a conical helm with a nasal t...

I mean no offense whatsoever here, but... I just can't understand why you'd do this. Why would anyone cover up steel plate with tooled leather? If you don't want steel armour, then why not just make the whole thing out of leather? Again, I don't mean for that to sound as insulting as it comes off. ...

Well David... You give them your absolute stamp of approval, and you are usually one who knows whats good and what isn't. I'm just worried that with shipping that it wont get up over like $300. I just cant afford that. But, if you all say that shipping isnt that bad. (and David you would probably kn...

Thanks Amhlaidgh! I actually quite like that one...without the gloves. Would you just removes the gloves at the wrists and have it be full length sleeves? I might see if they can't make it with the gloves detachable, that way if I ever go for an earlier portrayal...i.e. crusader... I could just butt...

Gambeson Questions
Hi all..
Im looking at getting a gambeson made, and I was wondering which one would cover the most time frames incase I wanted to wear it under earlier armor.
I really like the ones found here
http://www.matuls.pl/english/arming.html
Which one of these woudl cover the most time?
Thanks
Matt
