I am lookign to get some different shapes cut out for a suit of indian armor I am going to try to make. I might still use the 15 oz for the torso, underneath the breast, shoulders,and back plates...just for that extra protection....and move to thinner stuff for down the legs and arms.

Thanks for the ideas guys... Tandy right now has a side of 14-15oz saddle skirting leather for 79..or 69 dollars for the whole side....20-24sq feet. I dont think thats a bad price... now I just need to figure out how much Ill need....find somethign to cover it...and find a place to cut the plates ou...

If this is for SCA use..don't listen to the people telling you that it limits yoru vision and breathing. I know many people in the SCA (Malegetnia) That use similar helms and they fight just fine!

Pluss you can always have air holes srilled afterward!
