What are some documented paintings on a Black sallet style? what Badges were comonly painted around the border or was it more of an indaviduals/family/personal marking system/preference?

I agree with you that there should be a view to look better... if not 10...

Actually in all seriousness... Tim is right. What do I get for making my kit more historically accurate besides a thinner wallet, more stress, and less beer? A plastic barrel gets me on the field smackin other guys with sticks... thats what I want to do. Putting together a better kit keeps me from t...

The SCA has been operating for how many years? Accumulating how many hundreds of thousands of members? And it has evolved how much since its beginings? It sounds to me like the SCA will someday become what the people who want to change it into. Its more of just a case of... "but but I want it NOW! i...

Dan,

Hey how are ya.. hope you had fun at Pennsic.
I was wondering if you have ever made a sword belt and scabbard, and if you'd like to make a matching one to go with all the strapping you made for me. Let me know either on here or in a PM!

No, just kidding. what if you just switched out your plastic lemellar for leather? Maybee you coudl wear a maille shirt under the lamellar too.Im not really sure how commonly practiced that was, but I think it would look nice.
