You joined the SCA becuase of different aspects (so did I for that matter) but there are those whos soul purpose for joining was the combat. Also... I agree with you that there should be a view to look better... if not 10...

Actually in all seriousness... Tim is right. What do I get for making my kit more historically accurate besides a thinner wallet, more stress, and less beer? A plastic barrel gets me on the field smackin other guys with sticks... thats what I want to do. Putting together a better kit keeps me from t...

The SCA has been operating for how many years? Accumulating how many hundreds of thousands of members? And it has evolved how much since its beginings? It sounds to me like the SCA will someday become what the people who want to change it into. Its more of just a case of... "but but I want it NOW! i...

It does have a hook latch on the right side, but it doesnt keep it closed terribly well. Also for SCA combat, it is very light, 16 gaug...

Dan from House of the Wolf... wanna make some more money???
Dan,
Hey how are ya.. hope you had fun at Pennsic.
I was wondering if you have ever made a sword belt and scabbard, and if you'd like to make a matching one to go with all the strapping you made for me. Let me know either on here or in a PM!

I've never wanted milleniumLancelot to STFU more than in this thread. Dude, all you're doing is becoming that person that folks like Mal will go to tell stories about. "So the SCA says..." when he's really saying, "This guy on the armour archive said..." A) You're wrong in your arguments with Josh ...
