I am sure that the Event Steward will want a good faith estimate of support. As time is a precious thing at this event. If I can get this off the ground, is there anyone h...

Re: advice on making a "padded" gauntlet

I was thinking about making hardened leather gauntlets, but inside out. So the glove ( or in thie case mitten) was sewn to the outside of the plates instead of the inside.

Re: advice on making a "padded" gauntlet

I used hockey gloves for a little bit, before getting my good gauntlets. Holding onto the sword wasn't to bad, but getting hit in the hand sucked.

Re: advice on making a "padded" gauntlet

He seems to be trying for hard hand protection that is carefully disguised as something other than hard platy gauntlets. Sounds like it's for early-period. Exactly. There is evidence of gambesons having integral mittens. well for the SCA and hand protection I need to have a little more than just a ...

Guys, If you look at the rest of the website I don't think the person is an "Armourer" per se. He appears to be an aritist and jeweler that is also dabbling in armor.
His jewlery is very nice. :)
