Re: Old Helmet on Etsy- anyone recognize it?

the first one, if I recognize it correctly, is an indian made thing, that I wouldn't use for SCA, LARP maybe, or Youth combat. The second is definitely a spun dome, that has had blue foam in it, but I can't see any evidence that a grill was ever on it. The THIRD, the Viking helmet, is the one I am i...

(well big for me not compaired to some) My biggest problem is at my job I sit on my ass ALL DAY. 8 hours, every day. And I ...

I need to up my game

I have come to the conclusion that I really need to up my game. I am a stable fighter. Thats all that can be said about me. I come to the line, I get one or two kills on the field a day, and most of the time I am fodder and a body to let those who can-do. I need to up my game. I have been told that ...

I drilled a divot into a piece of steel to rest the dome head into, and clamped it to my worktable. Keeps the head from totally flattenging out.

FS- Medium Icefalcon Gambeson

Never worn in combat. Never had anything done to it.

Red and blue party color.

I need to sell it to get a lightly padded arming cotte. I just think this one is going to be to bulky for me in the heat.

$200 shipped.

Re: 2013....Show us your kits --part Deux--

Not a great picture, and this is after I overheated and switched to my "light" kit (took of the breasplate, spaulders) to quote Piekko here on the AA- "My boy you need greaves." yes I do. Also it is not my helmet, both of my helms bounced inspection- One for not having a chinstrap, and one for the v...

Re: Great Northeastern War 2013 -July 11-14

Man, I had the BEST war I have had in a long time! I faught in EVERY battle 4 hours of fighting! I have NEVER done that, I was asked to retain for His Majesty Gregor during the battles, so I caught at his side the entire time.I took it as a point of honor that I would not stop fighting unless he did...

Thats going to be a tuffy.
I think the best way to start would be trying to blazon it. Though that is tough since there are no colors.
I am very rusty in my heraldic speak, but lets see,

Re: How do you cut little rivets???

Finally got everything pulled out. A hammer and the snips worked. Hammered the rivets out to get a little bit of a lip to get the snips under the rivet head. Then a couple of taps on the plaque and POP. Came right out. I am very glad that for my fighting kit I had these plaques made out of laser cut...
