Yes. We have actual extant vambraces with elbows and proto-wings. I believe some are featured in the Battle of Visby book...one or twol in Scandinavian collections.

In my opinion a planishing hammer is a waste of your time (and money). If your piece is of adequate thickness to begin with, and of relatively homogeneous planarity (no extremely deep dips, bumps, gashes that would exist if evenly sanded across the plane), than you dont need to spend hours planishin...

A helm's mass is one of the things that make it safe. If these are too light it may not be a good thing. Any idea what one would weight? Uric Exactly. Thats one of the misconceptions of spring. Its a bit heavier than mild due to its mass but that doesnt necessarily mean helmets should be too light.

My passion is limb armour so it was a logical move to incorporate gauntlets.

We will be doing completed hourglass gauntlets for about 145 - 160.

The kits will run around 95 or so.

We're finishing up some prototypes now. Pics coming soon (along with a lot of things, lol)

If its sca armour.....at 400 for what appear to be decent legs, a useable helmet, gauntlets etc...

go for it. Most helmets cost 400 or more.

Its something to star with for a newbie....
