Good point.....we, as a whole, have a heightened awareness of these type of symbols. ....I would personally be wary of doing any type of demo or somehow, in some way be seen as representing general medievalism in a negative light. Heres something to mull over... Im not in favor of burning the US flag...I think its morally wrong and I think those who do are carelessly overlooking those who fought for such freedeoms ....such as burning the flag. The valnkot is carved into one of the planks (a seat iirc) of the oseberg ship. I dont find it near as 'intrusive' as other well know modern symbols As far the the swastika, it was used my native americans long before ol Adolph got a hold of it. IIRC it was a symbol for peace (ironicly) Yeah, its t...

State you case why you either dont care, or dont think people would be unnecessarily offended when there are ways to teach history without a slap in the face.

Why live just to carelessly piss off?.....unless thats your goal.

Or....if youre so inclined....you can rivit the thing solidly together. There would appear to be ample visual evidence for vertically rivetted cuirasses by early 1400s and well into at least the late 1420s....and given the Churbourg is roughly 1390 (close to 1400), your in an area that is still very...

Cold raising depends greatly on the material.

Ive cold raised most cops and found them to be extraordinarily tough.

Once you get into deeper shapes and higher quality carbon steels, heat is helpful, if not necessary.

Oh and fellas....ventilate your shop or home very well. Try not to 'fiberglass' near a furnace or ventilation. Garages are best. And fiberglass lives temps over 60 degrees. ....loves ""72 and sunny"". But humidity will increase warpage, shrinkage. If its humid, use less catalyst....
