I also agree that you managed to preserve the essence of the helmet....that is what is so important when integrating a bargrill.

I use bondo almost daily....but I wouldnt in this case. Remember you still need to blend and paint it somehow and the whacking of swords and so forth will assuredly rattle the bondo loose over time. Cars get bondo but they are also sealed with serious car paint that is very tough so this helps hold ...

It is IMPOSSIBLE to put a grill on a greathelm and NOT make it look ugly. Take the money and go buy a bascinet if you want/need a grill.

Mail specs: ring type, size, rivet type.....

Ive seen early mail comparisons and viking age comparisons...

looking for later (ie, Medieval through Renaissance) mail comparisons....

specifically curious about round mail vs flat and the types of rivets...wedge, pin etc.

thanks

Well, I dont wear glasses.....could you wear contacts? Either way, its probably that the grill could be affixed via a locking slot mechanism approach...AFTER the helmet is on and glasses inserted. There are still sooooo many ways to fiddle with safe bargrills and faceplates that have yet to be widel...

authentic full plate models

The totality of all these models is what makes this collection unique. Also, a 1950s model too.

Starting the bid at $45 and will let it go a week.

SEXY BARGRILL (no welds: wrought from single piece)

(as opposed to SEXY BARGIRL) I dont have any immediate uses for this piece. This piece was cut out by a hand jig saw and I probably logged at least a full day into it. --Its cut from 1/4 inch thick steel. --Distance in between bars is about 3/4 to 7/8. -- It can be shaped or RESHAPED and cut to fit ...

Two things... Metal blades can go through bargrills. This is usually very painful in my opinion. What would anyone wager is the average fighting age of SCA fighters? Id bet 30 something?? My experience has been that: --most sca fighters are lousy and could be taken out by a medieval counterpart. (of...
