Funny you post this. I just dyed an emerald green wool houpplande a darker forest green using no less than three scarlet red bottles and three blacks...and some salt. Seems to worked. However I guess I have to question how likely it would have been for a weapon to fly down and and then upward so easily such that the dip would really (I mean really) do that much. The efficacy of a floppy dip of mail seems pretty dubious to me unless the banded mail concept gave it ridgity....then...

While the 2d representation of folds theory holds water, I feel that it doesn't fit with the way the other fabrics are shown as fairly straight across. It does make sense to me that the maille would be tailored in the skirt, as it would make it more difficult to get a nasty old weapon up the middle...

DROOL...yes thats it ! Lovely pouch.

I contacted him earlier this year about them.

How fast was the turn around?

I need a new pouch as soon as possible and my figure it faster to make my own...but if he is "fast" I may just buy one to save the time.

There's a part of me that wonders if this is in fact a flat, 2D representation of mail sagging between the legs of someone lying flat.... I agree with Effingham in large measure here. While that second pointed mail image is hard to argue with, I dont think most mail dipped down like that in "r...

He hasn't replied to an email since October 22nd if I recall correctly. He's been paid and received it, and I think Olas said he even told him he would ship it the next day. Getting a bit silly. Fantastic work gents.

I have long thought that bargrills needed some rethinking after years of doubling for barbecue grills. After cutting out my 1/4" stock grill by hand with a friggin saber saw, one learns to appreciate the luxury of lasers and waterjets!

Keep up the great work!

To make a cone; you basicly skip a link every X number of rows or, the opposite of an expansion. You can use the same size link through the entire piece. Yeah I know ~that~ ....I guess I was curious as to whether earlier haubergons might have been upgraded with long sleeves. Its curious to be sure.

Interesting then that leather was used for such a common armour; i wonder why it is superior to jack or plate of jack? Or brigs? Metal costs were certainly low enough, for the munition grade stuff. Ancel I would be careful in assuming "leather" was used for armour per se.....in the same s...
